ASHMAN JONES VETS
Clara is our Senior Vet at Ashman Jones. Many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Clara. Clara has been working with us as our regular locum for the last 2 years ! She has also done a long shift at our emergency after hours practice in Bristol so she is no stranger!
Clara likes charity work, cooking, working abroad, cuddling dogs, and has strong belief in providing personal care to animals and their owners. We all are over the moon that Clara has decided to join us permanently, we hope you are too !
Sophie Embra has now well and truly become part of the backbone of Ashman Jones. Many of you have come to experience her endearingly kind and gentle way with animals. This is backed up by an extensive knowledge about Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and how it can be applied towards day-to-day cases at Ashman Jones Vets. Since she started over 3 years ago , she has taken Ashman Jones from strength to strength and has provided a vital part to form what Ashman Jones is today.
Sophie's family live locally and she is very happy to be back near them again by joining the Ashman Jones Team. Like Murray, Sophie has a special interest in Veterinary Dentistry. She also enjoys Emergency Medicine and Sharks (not together hopefully!!).
Murray grew up in Australia and graduated from Murdoch University in Perth in 1997. Murray's father was born in Bath and his father's side of the family all originated from Oldfield Park. In fact , his great grandfather 'Pop' Jones used to run the local garage between the wars !
Murray lives on the London Road in Bath with his partner, their two dogs and cat . Murray has 18 years of experience as a small animal veterinary surgeon and has a keen interest in small animal veterinary medicine , particularly veterinary dentistry .His aim is to be honest , caring and professional in all areas of his life
Bianca graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009. She also has completed an internship in small animal medicine, orthopedics and soft tissue surgery. After a variety of locum jobs in first opinion practice, and following a period of time spent travelling abroad, she has now found a job where she can continue to enhance her skills as a GP veterinary surgeon. Her interests are focused on providing good, all round patient and client care, and she hopes to do this by continually progressing in all areas of veterinary medicine, surgery and diagnostics. Bianca is also very much a team player so fits perfectly into our personal ethos.
Kate and James share the role of stepping in when one of our regular Vets is away. They also share Ashman Jones values which are professional, passionate and friendly Veterinary Care. We try and keep our team as small and as tight as possible so that we can provide ongoing consistency and communication even when one of us is away !
